The Quality Science and Math (QSM) Grant Program is seeking qualified individuals, such as content leaders or specialists, to judge grant proposals.
QSM awards grants up to $2,000 to PK-12 public school teachers in Louisiana for purchasing non-consumable materials and equipment for standards-based, effective, innovative, and high-quality math, science, and STEM instruction. For more information about the program, please visit

QSM JUDGE EXPECTATIONS
Watch the QSM Judging Portal Navigation Video and score a practice proposal prior to the training meeting.
The video will show judges how to use and navigate the grant management platform (Submittable) as well as review the grant application and scoring rubric.
Attend a 30-45 minute virtual QSM Judge Training Meeting. This is recommended for all judges including returning judges as changes have been made to the grant policies. If you are unable to attend the training, please contact the grant administrator.
Reading and scoring up to 10 grant applications in your area of expertise within a two-week time period.
Judges cannot submit a QSM grant application for this grant cycle.
TIMELINE
The grant application deadline is Sunday, September 6th, 2026.
The virtual QSM Judge Training will be offered Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
Grant applications will be assigned and judges will be notified by Wednesday, September 16th, 2026.
Judges must read and score all applications by Sunday, October 4th, 2026.
Please note, all applications are scored blind, and judges are not assigned to score applications from schools or regions in which they are actively involved.
