On March 13, 2023, the LA Department of Education Superintendent Dr. Cade Brumley submitted an opinion article endorsing Education Savings Accounts (ESAs)/Scholarships stating that they would enhance public education in Louisiana. Why would Dr. Brumley want to fund another voucher program (vouchers 2.0) when the current voucher program is failing at an 85.7% rate?  The LSBA submitted a response to its members, partners, and other educational stakeholder groups that asked the question of the need to fund an additional voucher program.
